They sawed through flesh, chopped through bones and sliced off tendons until the pet was reduced to a huge selection of individual cuts of meat. Clinical data of PCI-32765 in patients with CLL presented at ASH Annual Meeting Pharmacyclics, Inc. today announced data from three Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia presentations at the American Culture of Hematology Annual Interacting with describing the Btk-selective inhibitor PCI-32765. Both preclinical abstracts focus on the mechanism of action of this novel medication. Data from these two presentations together recommend a model whereby PCI-32765 directly impacts CLL cells by inducing apoptosis, and also blocks the power of CLL cells to migrate to also to adhere to lymph nodes, a defensive environment where in fact the tumors grow.
